Yalan Packing at interpack 2026: Packaging Solutions for the European Market

From May 7th to 13th, 2026, the Yalan Packing sales team attended interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

It was a busy and fulfilling week for us. We met with customers from all over the world, showcased our packaging products, discussed new projects, and gained a deeper understanding of buyers' specific needs in their respective markets. After the exhibition, we also visited local European clients.

Interpack 2026: A Busy and Fulfilling Week

Our attendees included both familiar faces from Yalan Packing and many new clients who were meeting us for the first time.

We engaged in extensive discussions, covering everything from basic product specifications and packaging methods to customized products and new procurement projects, as well as European environmental regulations regarding packaging materials.

Many customers also raised very specific questions: What thickness of film should be chosen? Which roll weight is more suitable for the local market? Can sizes or packaging be customized? What is the difference between hand-stretch film and machine-stretch film?

Those conversations are often much more productive when the supplier can understand the application first instead of immediately recommending a standard product.

These are precisely the in-depth discussions we hoped to have at the exhibition.

We brought our products to Düsseldorf.

At our booth, we focused on showcasing our core packaging products, including stretch film, strapping, lashing, and pallet packaging products.

Stretch film was undoubtedly the highlight of our display. We discussed hand-stretch film, machine-stretch film, mini rolls, and various customized sizes with visitors.

Strapping was also a highly sought-after product. Customers inquired about details such as thickness, roll length, adhesive options, and printed tape, particularly regarding their needs for distribution and local resale businesses.

In addition, we also showcased lashing and other packaging products used to secure goods during warehousing and transportation.

Given the diverse needs across markets, we invested significant time in exploring real-world application scenarios, rather than simply showcasing standard specifications.

Regarding the European Packaging Market:

One of the recurring topics we heard at Interpack 2026 was sustainability.

For many European buyers, packaging is no longer just about price and performance. They are also increasingly concerned with material usage, recyclability, and how to reduce unnecessary packaging without compromising product protection.

The upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) makes these discussions even more relevant. Buyers want to know more about the materials they use, how to improve the resource efficiency of packaging, and what changes might be necessary in the European market.

We noticed this in many of our interactions at the trade show. For example, regarding stretch film, customers want to reduce material usage while ensuring the stability of goods during transport. These interactions were valuable to us. They provided a clearer understanding of the current priorities of European customers and their expectations of packaging suppliers in the coming years.

One of the great things about attending trade shows is the opportunity to directly hear from our customers.

Products that sell well in Europe may have specifications quite different from those commonly used in Asian, South American, or other markets. Even simple products like stretch film vary in thickness, roll weight, core size, and packaging methods.

This week, we heard a wide range of needs, some of which provided new ideas for our future product development and specification optimization.

For us, this is one of the best things about attending international packaging trade shows.

At the interpack trade show, many customer inquiries began with a simple question: "What specifications do you recommend?"
